Bake sale
A novel way to help Swat IDPs. We sold home made pizzas, cakes, cookies, pies, burgers, sandwiches and chana chaat and were able to collect Rs. 21,000 in one day. All for Swat people.

Amazing. Similar acts are being performed on our campus as well - channay ki chat, T-shirt's with uni's logo on it (Rs. 250), dance parties, cultural galas, comedy shoes. WoW!
I'm sorry!I'm shocked to see this.this is no way of raising funds.why couldnt people donate without stuffing their mouths with channa chart or some cookies?Dance parties??Comedy Shows?? Having fun at the cost of someone's misery..Sigh!!
In the movie titanic, when it was about to sink, the band started playing music and they started displaying firework. One could say that people are dying and why the hell are you playing music. But that was to distract people so that they might no panic.
Not that Pakistan is going to sink but I think we need some digression . I know people who have become patients of depression. There are children who are afraid to go to school. So theres no harm in doing constructive work at the cost of some fun. Otherwise we would be in mourning everyday.
