Basant

Can anyone tell me one good reason why Basant should be celebrated?

My liege don't be too sarcastic by labelling this supra-rational question as "being amazed" and stuff. And don't be a pessimist. There is however one profoundest, synthetic reason why such a thing should and must happen at these no way odd moments; when the whole country and its men and women are so lonely and empty of any protests that they are being bored to death: such a event may come as a rescuer to save their extroversion from eternal decadance.

The purpose. Shock and Awe. For stoning people to death, so that may receive heavesn for nothing. To staisfy the fuedals, who are in utter boredom and fancy to have lost link with their past and therefore to revive their tradition of great public beheading shows. Beheading the doomed, my lordship, by nothing more than slimy threads. All this, one, may be an important impetus for marching towards such an event. What do you think now?

The last time Basant was allowed, 58 people died mostly from getting slaughtered by the deadly strings, injured aside. From the time kite flying has been banned up till now 19 people, even then, have lost their lives by having their throats cut by kite strings. Entertainment at the cost of lives? No way.

When the government knows that it cannot prevent people from making those deadly nylon/chemical strings and from firing weapons and the death of so many people as a result, the best way is to not allow the event at all. People are getting bored? Want entertainment? Here: http://danka.com.pk/ There are so many other ways of having fun. I get to have fun. Theater, movies, concerts, other occasions, events. But lets not kill more people.

Lets not talk about those whose only source of traveling is motor bike. They should give in to the ban, travel in public transport or something. It's just one day. They should sacrifice for the entertainment of masses.

Making this country a better place would be so better and permanent an option to kill peoples' boredom.

Exactly.
